First Baptist Church dedicates new building

Steel girders and rubble are all that remain
at the site of the original First Baptist church Sugar Hill.
Yet inside the new structure, dedicated Sunday afternoon,
hangs a constant reminder of both the congretation's pain and
rebirth — a cross made of wood
salvaged from the Jan. 15 fire.
The cross, made by church member Sergey Volzhskiy, hangs over
